IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING ABOUT THE HISTORY OF SHARIAH
Shariah is like a cord which connects Muslim and Islam, it is a connector between all the apostles of Allah. Islam derives its glory from shariah, infact Muslim will not exist without the existence of shariah.
Shariah is the director which directs the Muslim life; this is so because the owner of shariah is Allah, the creator of the universe.
    DEFINITION
The word shariah has several meanings, it is used as beginning, to start, enter upon, to attempt, to commence and set about. It is also used as a water whole where animal gathered to drink water, also regarded to the straight and cleared part.
Islamically, it is referred to the sum total of Islamic laws which were revealed to the prophet. It is a divinely guided lifestyle [Sunnah]
Fiqh consists of various fields such as:
    • Taoheed
    • Aqeedah
    • Hadith
Why Allah ordains more than one shariah
The almighty Allah is wise, He knows His creatures and what is suitable for each generation. Whenever Allah sent a prophet to his people he will send a suitable shariah with him. Even though the messages of all prophets are one but the generation is different in nature, health and wealth’
    Definition of Fiqh
Fiqh literarily means the truth understanding of what is intended. An example of this usage can be found in Qur’an (11:19). Technically, Fiqh is referred to the science of deducing Islamic law from evidence found in the sources of Islamic law.
