ISLAMIC CONCEPT OF HISTORY
islamic perception of history is divinty+man+time+space= history
diferences between the western and islamic perception of history are as follows
WESTERN PERSPECTIVE
human beings evolved through gradual development as stipulated by darwin
human beings started on a primitive and uncivilised way
man is the object of history and are the ultimate
divinity plays no role in history
ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE
human being starts with adam as the first mman on earth
human being started withproper guidance and civilised
although man is the object of history but not not the ultimate
divinity defines and shapes historical event
some people mis-concept history for myth, the characteristics of them are:
HISTORY
factual representation of event in the past
based on evidence
historical account could be validated
history is true
history teaches moral lessons
MYTH
fictions are not factual
based on imagination or supersitious beliefs
it can't be validated
it is fanciful, although may be derived from tru events in history
also teaches moral lessons
CHURCH INTERPRETARION OF HISTORY
it prevailed during the "dark ages" in europe when the church maintains an absolute control and hegemony. it claimed that human beings collapsed because of adam's sin until christ came and presented himself in sacrifice

WHAT IS HISTORICAL RESEARCH
It is an enquiry into a past event through the collection , evaluation, examinationand presentation of evidences in order to establish the fact that will help understand the present and predict the future events. the collection of evidence are of two types which are the primary source and secondary sources.
Primary sources are like incident witnesses,journals,manuscripts e.t.c while secondary sources are like textbooks e.t.c
APPLICATION OF THE METHOD
Identify a historical problem ( need to conduct a research )
collect as much relevant information about the problem
form hypothesis that explain relationship between those information.
organise your evidences and verify the veracity of the sources of your information
analyse,interpret and draw your conclusion
record your conclusion in a meaningful narration
SOURCES OF HISTORICAL INFORMATION
PRIMARY SOURCES: these are firsthand informations e.g artifact,original documents,audio-visual,fossils,memoir,manuscripts,speechs,interview,auddio-recovery,ornaments e.t.c
SECONDARY SOURCES: textbooks,encyclopeadia,newspaper,
