IMAM ABU HANIFAH NUMAN
He was born in Baghdad in Iraq in 80 A.H (600), he grew up and lived in kufa,where he worked as a trader in textile and also studied under famous scholars. he was a very gifted and intelligent student. he also traveled to madinah to gain more knowledge, he was a very great scholar in Islam.
He faced many difficulties in his period, he was popular with the common people who loved him for his honesty in business and his kindness. As a result the ruler tried to win his favour but he unjust kept away from them because they were and often cruel. He was a man of justice who justifies especially in terms of defending the sunnah.By this,he was summoned by Caliph AlMonsuur of Bagdad as to honour him the chief judge sof Bagdad.Suprisinly Al Imam Abu Hanifah refused the post and told him:SUPPOSING A COMPLAINT IS MADE AGAINST YOU IN MY COURT AND YOU WANT IT TO BE DECIDED IN YOUR FAVOUR OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE ME THE RIVER RATHER THAN TAMPER WITH JUSTICE.At last, he was imprisoned as a result of this statement where he later died at the age of seven decades.Allah honoured him after his demise because fifty thousand attended his funeral.
