Long years back in the early 1990's at Abeokuta -an ancient city in Ogun State, a boy was born on Sunday 18th of October. He was named Uthman Olanrewaju Oriyomi Opeyemi Oluwadamilare Akanbi the son of Abdur-Rahman. Later, he was conveyed to Bariga area in Lagos where he had his Primary school education. He later gained admission into Ifako Comprehensive High School in year 2002 for his Secondary Education. His Arabic and Islamic Education was also flourishing concurrently. This was attested to, on the 8th of August 2004 when he was Awarded a Primary Certificate in Qur'an Recitation, Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Moreover, his Western Education was influenced by his Islamic Knowledge. With this, he was appointed as the Naib (Vice) Imam of the school in year 2006. He was later appointed as the Imam the following year due to his commitment and dedication to the upliftment of Islam. It was a joyful day, the day he completed his last paper of the West Africa Examination Council successfully in year 2008. As a science student, his ambition was to become the best African Pilot in the Aviation World. This intention was nurtured before it was interrupted by furnish paucity. Allahu musta'aan!!
However, rather than sitting at home (as other mate of his does), the advice of attending an Arabic School was heeded to. This gave him the opportunity of continuing his Arabic and Islamic Education the same year he completed his Western Secondary School Education (i.e. 2008), what a rare opportunity he had. As an active and a brilliant student, also a young eloquent orator, he was appointed the Naqeeb (class representative) of his set. Besides, he served as a vibrant human activist, a positive and honest leader to the students, and also a dutiful lad to the school authority throughout his four-years course in the Madrasah (Arabic School). This period, he had a lot of indispensable experiences (positively and negatively). He was later certified with Mumtaaz (a first-class grade) in Arabic and Islamic study Junior Secondary Level on Saturday, 1st of december 2012 at Sublu-Salaam Institute of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, Ijoko. Indeed! It was day of an evergreen memory!
Furthermore, he was admitted to Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, the same year (2012) he completed his I'daadiyah (Junior Secondary Education in Arabic and Islamic Course) to study Computer Science. As an active muslim, he was appointed as the Coordinator of all Science Muslim Students of his level (2012/2013) by the Muslim Student Society, TASUED Branch and also selected as a teacher in the Arabic School organized by the same Society. Currently, he has just been appointed as the Librarian also. Simultaneously, he continues his Arabic and Islamic Education by enrolling for the Thanawiyah Course (Senior Secondary Education) in the same school he completed his I'daadiyah.
In addition, he attend seminars, symposiums and camps, which contributes immensely to his spiritual, moral, social and intellectual uplifts, not leaving out developing his administrative prowess. A significant one is the Annual Dawah Camp of Ansaru-ud-deen Youth Association (ADYA), Lagos State Council. He started attending this program annually from 1999 to 2013. There he was crowned The Most Talented Youth of the Year 2011 and 2012 uninterruptedly, he also came 1st in the Mega Game called ADYA Search year 2011. Another specific itinerary is the two-month training compendium of the Insight Institute, orchestrated to steer the juvenile on an Islamized way of life. There he was appointed as the first Amyru Shuqqa (Overall Leader) of all participants. What a great experience!
Socially, people tend to imagine how lucky they are meeting him, for he makes everyone around him feel the greatness of smiling. You would never meet him quarrel or find him fighting. He repay all in an humble and calm manner. The nickname "Fodlullah", is undeniably a true description of what he is endowed with. Vividly considering the bequests confer on him by the Creator, you would not help than to say "it's definitely a Grace of Allah"
Today, here he is, writing to you about himself. This can only be regarded as an elfin of what you would observe becoming an ally to Uthman Olanrewaju Abdur-Rahman.
