    SUMMARY OF ISLAMIC CIVILIZTION
    Civilization comes from the word “civilis” which means citizen and Civis which means city states. Civilization is also define a an advanced stage of socil development.
    CONTROVERCIES
    This refers to material and instrumental sides of human culture which are consisiting of many parts in terms of technology, science and division of labour such civilization are generally a ystem ranking people one above the other according to status and Urbanized.
    CLASSICAL CONTEXT
    People were addressed as civilized so as to set them apart from an uncivilized or cruel person which is “BABARIAN”.
    MODERN CONTEXT
    People are reffered to as civilized to contrast them with primitive people which are the one’s that lack major sign of economic development or modernism.
    TERMS IN A LESS STRICT WAY
    Civilization is used in a less strict way means the same thing as culture, therefore refer to any important clearly human society.
    Civilization based on Western perspectives can simply means refinement of thought,manner or taste.
    MEASUREMENT OF CIVILIZTION
    These are:
    (1). Agriculture
    (2). Writing
    (3).Legal system
    (4).Science
    (5).Standard measurement
    (6).Developed transportation system
    ELEMENTS OF CIVILIZATION INCLUDES:cities,such as homes or churches, specialized worker(farmers, businesses), Record keeping(Birth records, death records), and advanced technology(computer).

    2. Central governments and law codes.
    3. Writing and records-keeping.
    4. Specialized jobs
    5. Social classes
    6. Highly organized relegions.
